More details about each program below.
Camp Big Sky:
For children entering 1st through 6th grades, Camp Big Sky engages and inspires each child to experience the wonder of playing, creating, and learning. Daily, weekly, and summer-long options are available.
Afterschool Enrichment Program:
The 2021-2022 BSCO Afterschool Enrichment Program takes place at the Ophir Elementary School, Monday through Thursdays from 3:30-5:30pm. As the community of Big Sky continues to grow, so will the number of families and children who need these opportunities and services. BSCO looks forward to expanding their capacity to offer a variety of programs during the after school hours starting the 2022-2023 academic school year.
Historic Crail Ranch:
Located in Big Sky’s Meadow, Historic Crail Ranch is preserved as a homestead museum offering guided tours, educational opportunities, and special events.
Hike Big Sky:
During the height of the summer hiking season in July and August, this hiking series explores different areas each week, with experts from the community sharing their knowledge and skills about topics such as the land’s history and photography. Also a part of the Hike Big Sky program is the Tiny Trek series, an opportunity for families with young children ages 0-5 to explore the BSCO trail system together.
Softball:
The Big Sky Co-Ed recreational adult softball league takes place at the Big Sky Community Park every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday June through August. This program is provided for people living and working in Big Sky.
Glide Big Sky:
This cross-country ski series takes place in January and February. The location is different for each event, giving participants many chances to explore groomed trails in the Big Sky area with experienced Nordic ski guides. New for the winter 2022 season is the Wee Ski program for parents and young children to explore the golf course trails on skis together by carrier.
Youth Mountain Biking (NICA):
The Montana Interscholastic Cycling League was founded in 2017 as a Project League of the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA) to improve the lives of Montana’s youth and communities through cycling. The league facilitates the development of high school and middle school teams/clubs for grades 6-12 and provides the education, training, licensing, and insurance for coaches and volunteers.
