Clean & Green Campaign

The goal of the Clean and Green Campaign is to establish a community led green team to address four primary sustainability concerns including water, energy, transportation, and waste, refuse, and recycling.

Community Recycling Site

Town Center generously hosted a temporary recycling site on Aspen Leaf Drive for the past 6 years, however, due to increased traffic along the road and development plans, the site was removed in November 2015. A Recycling Task Force, comprised of interested community members, was created to work towards securing a safe and centralized location for a permanent recycling site. Gallatin County Solid Waste Management District was able to bring the bins back to Big Sky as soon as a suitable site was located. The new community recycling center is located at 47280 Gallatin Road, on the frontage road between Gallatin River Guides and the Whitewater Inn, in the canyon.

Curbside Recycling

Curbside recycling (plastic, aluminum, tin, cardboard and paper in unsorted containers) is available for Big Sky residents.
