Camp Big Sky – 2023 Junior Camp Counselor

The Junior Counselor program is designed to immerse early high school aged kids into the summer camp counselor role. Junior Counselors will be tasked with assisting adult lead counselors in daily activities for the campers. They will be expected to participate in activities but also act as a role model for good behavior while following the Camp Big Sky rules. Junior Counselors will be expected to set up and break down activities, to assist counselors in the implementation of activities, and to help maintain order during group discussions, the explanation of expectations to campers, and act as a general set of eyes overseeing campers throughout their day.

BASE Building Attendant

The BASE Building Attendant is responsible for maintaining the safety and cleanliness of BASE. This key position is the eyes and ears of the facility and instrumental in meeting the expectations of our members and users. He/she is self-motivated and driven by passion and enthusiasm for bringing efficiency and organization to community engaged projects, programs, and events. The BASE Building Attendant is responsible for completing daily checklist, setting up for scheduled activities, and providing support to BASE Operations Manager and BASE Director.

BSCO Parks and Trails Maintenance Assistant

The Parks and Trails Maintenance Assistant is a full-time, year-round position, under direct supervision of the Parks and Trails Facilities and Maintenance Manager. The BSCO maintains over 27 miles of public trail networks and 95 acres of public parkland. S/he will be responsible for assisting the Parks and Trails Facilities and Maintenance Manager in maintaining the community’s park and trail assets. The Parks and Trails Maintenance Assistant will be responsible for interacting with visitors and the Big Sky community to provide information and resources while helping to promoting safe, responsible, and enjoyable use of the public parks and trails. This is a dynamic position with changing duties depending on the daily needs of the parks and trails program.

Finance Assistant

The Finance Assistant is a part-time, year-round position under the direct supervision of the Controller. The Finance Assistant will be responsible for supporting the Controller in the organization by entering day to day financial transactions, credit card statements, financial recordkeeping, assist with reports, presentations, data entry and collection. Remote option avaliable.

BSCO Public Trails

BSCO manages 23+ miles of trails that are all multi-use and multi-directional.

Multi-Seasonal Use

The majority of BSCO trails are open year-round, barring any temporary seasonal hazard closures.

= Groomed or plowed during the winter. Note: Ungroomed / plowed trails are still open & get packed down by use.
