ABOUT BSCO

About the Big Sky Community Organization

We are a not-for-profit organization created for service and leadership & committed to our community.

Our Purpose

Big Sky Community Organization is a nonprofit organization dedicated to facilitating year-round recreational programs, outdoor spaces, and community partnerships that serve all of Big Sky — enhancing access and quality of life for everyone that lives, works, and plays here.

How we work together for Big Sky

BSCO takes an inclusive approach to connecting with and supporting the people we serve.

Our nonprofit has a 20-plus-year track record of successful programs, initiatives, and stewardship. As a community organization, we act as a catalyst for individuals and community partners to get involved and help shape the present and future of Big Sky. Together, our strategic investments of financial support and hard work make this great place even better.

BSCO relies on the support of donations, the Big Sky Resort Area District Tax, grants, and fundraising campaigns to fund and maintain our shared places and programs. Our programs are developed through several active community-led committees.

What We Value

Access

As our community grows and evolves, we work to secure and strengthen public access to the inspiring trails, beautiful parks, and purpose-built shared facilities that embody the diverse lifestyles of all-Big Sky locals and enthusiasts.

Health & Wellness

We believe health, happiness, and overall wellbeing is rooted in connection — from the physical connections of parks, trails, and the natural world, to emotional connections between individuals participating in our programs.

Inclusivity

We approach our work with the overarching goal of expanding opportunities for everyone to enjoy.

Trust

We invest in all our relationships and work hard to earn the trust, respect, and support of the people we serve.

Responsibility

It is our responsibility to lead our community with creativity, clarity, integrity, and a spirit of collaboration.
